Work Based Learning is an option in which students referred by DVR gain real-life work experience. Work Place Readiness students learn important skills to prepare them for interviews and jobs. Testimonials

“Gracie was eager and excited to learn. Her smile and enthusiasm made me offer her the job. She has done a great job, and in fact, she has recently been offered increased hours. My advice to other employers would be to just give someone [with a disability] a chance. If one person doesn’t work out, try someone else and give them an opportunity.”

“CJ is a quick learner, she’s so nice and does a great job of connecting with all our staff. CJ brings positivity to our workplace. She always says good morning and connects with all the employees. It just makes your day brighter. I had worked with CI before and knew I wanted to again. I would recommend working with CI; it’s great for our community and for Red Lion. It just takes a compassionate manager who is willing to slow down. I really like working with CI.”
